Is Breast Augmentation right for me?
Serving Newport Beach and Orange County, California
reast augmentation, or augmentation mammoplasty as it is technically referred to, is the process of enhancing the size or shape of a woman's breast for any number of different reasons. Breast lifts, breast reductions, breast enlargements, and breast reconstruction are all forms of breast augmentation.
In 2004, over 330,000 women chose to have a breast augmentation procedure performed. Of the women who had breast augmentation surgery, over 90% were satisfied with the results and would recommend the procedure to another woman. However, just because other women have had the breast augmentation procedure done, it does not mean that breast augmentation is right for you.
Breast augmentation can correct many problems you may have with your breasts and can enhance your breasts so that you are completely satisfied with them. Some of the goals that you can accomplish through breast augmentation are:
- Reconstructing breasts after surgery
- Better contouring your body
- Feeling more confident
- Balancing uneven breasts
- Correcting asymmetrical breasts
- Looking better in clothes
- Having the body shape you want
Many women feel a large boost in self-confidence after the breast augmentation surgery. If their breasts were disproportionate, uneven, or asymmetric they no longer have to worry about concealing them. Women who undergo breast enlargement feel more confident about their body and can purchase the clothes, bathing suits, and bras that they have always wanted.
If you are considering having breast augmentation surgery, there are many factors that you should consider. You should be familiar with the different types of breast implants and the different breast surgery options you have for breast augmentation.
Breast augmentation does not just take into account the size of breast you would like, but whether you would like round or contoured breast implants, textured or smooth breast implants and saline or silicone filled breast implants. You also have choices regarding where the breast implant is placed, and what kind of incision is used for the breast augmentation surgery.
The best thing to do if you are considering having breast augmentation surgery is to schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Hendricks in Newport Beach, California. During your initial consultation, you can discuss what results you would like from your breast augmentation, and Dr. Hendricks can determine what type of breast implant and procedure would work best to provide you with those results.
